The “Hollywood Reporter” asked its readers which games should be made into movies, and here are the Top 20 responses . . . along with the percentage of people who’d be interested:

 

1.  “Super Mario Bros.”, 44% . . . Of course, there was that bizarre 1993 “Super Mario Bros.” movie with Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo.  And there’s already an animated Mario movie in the works.

2.  A tie between “Pac-Man” and “Mario Kart”, 37%

4.  “Donkey Kong”, 36%

5.  “Grand Theft Auto”, 34%

6.  “Call of Duty”, 32%.  There’s currently a movie in the works.

7.  “The Legend of Zelda”, 31%

8.  A tie between “Super Smash Bros.” and “Tetris”, 28%.

There’s supposedly been a “Tetris” movie in development since 2016.

10.  “Halo”, 26%

11.  “Final Fantasy”, 24%

12.  “The Oregon Trail”, 23%

13.  “Red Dead Redemption”, 22%

14.  “Minecraft”, 20%

15.  “Fortnite”, 19%

16.  A tie between “The Elder Scrolls” and “Spyro the Dragon”, 17%

18.  “Metroid”, 15%

19.  “Pong”, 14%

20.  “Starcraft”, 13%
