John Irizarry – “Don’t Say Goodbye”
Bio:
“My job as a songwriter is to tell a story in a way that sparks thought in the listener.” says, John Irizarry He adds, “I use that same approach when covering other artists’ songs”.
Maverick Magazine, the UK’s leading Americana Magazine, praised John’s work on his album “Songs for Parker” (with Small Town Sheiks), saying, “It leaves you utterly enthralled”.
Alt.Country Forum calls John’s songs “Energetic, dynamic and intense” and “immediately distinct and recognizable.”
He performed as Lead Singer and Guitarist for the band Jerry the Bulldog. John is now performing solo and with his band Rev Dogs drawing from original and select cover material, playing to enthusiastic audiences, and offering Electric as well as Acoustic sets to an ever growing fan base.
I offer these songs not as a requiem for one lost, but as a love letter and conversation for all who need it. To my Daughter Lauren, whose spirit remains living within all who will forever love her. With gratitude to The Tribe for your continued embrace and love. #izzyforever To friends and family who’ve become closer through heartbreak; I’m thankful. To Joe and Randy, thank you is not enough. To proof there’s more than this physical plane; I’m most grateful. To Lauren, for the note you left me that says all I need to know; I love you, too. – John Irizarry
